Bread-making
machines
There
are few things better than coming home to a house
full of the smell of freshly cooked bread. While you
can make you own bread in the oven, the appearance
of low cost bread-making machines has enabled far
more people than ever before to attempt their own
bread making and takes much of the difficulty out
of making bread at home.
With
more of us trying to choose healthy lifestyle options,
it comes as no surprise that so many of us want to
avoid the commercial bread which is loaded with preservatives
and synthetic nutrients added due to the natural goodness
being lost in the refining process.
While some people choose to make their bread at home
traditionally, a bread-making machine will save you
having to do all the hard work, such as mixing the
ingredients and kneading the dough. All you need to
do is measure out the ingredients and place them in
the machine and in order specified by the manufacturer,
after which you select which program you want to use
and leave the machine do get on with it for you.
Different bread-making machines have different options
and so before buying you need to ask yourself whether
or not they will be useful. Typically a bread-making
machine will give you the option of white or wholemeal,
while some may also offer you French bread, pizza
dough and even jam making facilities. In addition
you can usually specify the darkness of the crust.
Some bread makers also feature a time delay, allowing
you to specify your bread to be freshly baked first
thing in the morning, for instance.
One
point to note is that bread-making machines produce
rather non-traditional looking loaves, due to the
shape of the baking pan. It will have one or two kneading
paddles in the bottom, which results in a hole in
the bottom of the loaf. If either of these is going
to be a problem for you then you should stick to making
your bread in an oven.
All
in all, home baking is fun to do, but hard work if
you prepare everything traditionally. A bread-making
machine lets you and your family enjoy the benefits
of home baked bread without the hassle of kneading
the dough, which is really hard work! You can find
